- District Educational Officer (For Open Market candidates) - A Master’s degree in Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Economics, Geography, History, Commerce, Tamil and English and Should have studied Tamil under Part-I or Part-II and Bachelor of Teaching or Bachelor of Education
- District Educational Officer (For the Teacher candidates) - A Master’s Degree in Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Economics, Geography, History, Commerce, Tamil and English and Should have studied Tamil under Part-I or Part-II and Teaching experience for a period of not less than twelve years
