- Chipper Grinder - National Apprenticeship Certificate in any trade; One-year shipbuilding experience
- Compressor Attendant - National Apprenticeship Certificate in Millwright Mechanic; One-year shipbuilding experience or Mechanic Machine Tool Maintenance
- Diesel Cum Motor Mechanic - National Apprenticeship Certificate Examination in “Diesel Mechanic (Diesel)/ Mechanic (Marine Diesel) or Motor Vehicle Mechanic”
- Driver - SSC with National Apprenticeship Certificate in "Driver cum Fitter" or SSC or passed Indian Army Class I examination and should have valid Light & Heavy Duty driving license
- Electric Crane Operators - Apprenticeship Certificate Examination in Electrician; One-year shipbuilding experience
- Electrician - National Apprenticeship Certificate Examination in the trade of “Electrician”; One-year shipbuilding experience
- Electronic Mechanic - National Apprenticeship Certificate Examination in the trade of “Electronic Mechanic/ Mechanic Radio and Radar Aircraft / Mechanic Television (Video)/ Mechanic cum- Operator Electronics Communication system/ Mechanic Communication Equipment Maintenance / Mechanic Radio & TV/ Weapon & Radar”; One-year shipbuilding experience
- Fitter - National Apprenticeship Certificate Examination passed in the trade of “Fitter/Marine Engineer Fitter / Shipwright (Steel) or National Apprentice Training Certificate in any other trade and have worked in worked in MDL/ Ship-building industry
- Hindi Translator - Post Graduation course with Hindi or Post Graduation course with English and Hindi as a subject; One-year Experience
- Junior Draughtsman (Mechanical) - National Apprenticeship Certificate in the Trade of ‘Draughtsman’
- Junior Quality Control Inspector (Mechanical) - Diploma or Degree in Mechanical or Marine Engineering
- Junior Quality Control Inspector (Electrical) - Diploma or Degree in Electrical or Marine Engineering
- Junior Planner Estimator(Civil) - Diploma or Degree with pass class in Civil
- Millwright Mechanic - National Apprenticeship Certificate in the trade of “Millwright Maintenance Mechanic or Mechanic Advanced Machine Tool Maintenance
- Painter - National Apprenticeship Certificate trade of “Painter/ Marine Painter; One-year shipbuilding experience
- Pipe Fitter - National Apprenticeship Certificate trade of Pipe Fitter/ Plumber / Fitter/ Marine Engineer Fitter / Shipwright (Steel) and having one-year experience
- Rigger - National Apprenticeship Certificate from the trade of “Rigger”
- Store Keeper - Diploma or Degree Engineering in Mechanical

- Fire Fighter - SSC or Diploma/ Certificate in Fire Fighting
- Sail Maker - ITI / NAC in Cutting & Tailoring/Cutting & Sewing/ Dress Making/ Sewing Technology/ Tailor
- Security Sepoy - SSC or Indian Army class – I exam or Navy OR Air Force and has put in at least 15 years of service
- Utility Hand (Semi-Skilled) - National Apprenticeship Certificate in any trade and have worked in worked in MDL/ Ship-building industry; One-year shipbuilding experience
- Master Ist Class - Certificate of competency (I class Master) or Ex-serviceman from Indian navy with 15 years of experience
- Minimum Age Limit: 18 years
- Maximum Age Limit: 38 years For All Posts
- Maximum Age Limit: 48 years for Master 1st Class Trade
Monthly Salary / Remuneration:
- Special Grade (IDA-IX) - Rs.22,000/- to Rs.83,180/-
- Skilled Grade-I (IDA-V) - Rs.17,000/- to Rs.64,360/-
- Semi-Skilled Gr-I (IDA-II) - Rs.13,200/- to Rs.49,910/-
